Atelier Seconda Vita, Upcycled

Our mission is to reuse materials, to give a new story to objects that are no longer used.
The potentiality of this mission lies in the fact that anywhere in the world we have homes full of stuff accumulated in serial mode. Things we’ll sooner or later get rid of. Displacements cost a lot of money and used materials and objects are often discarded while still in good condition. In our atelier we want to give new life to these materials, creating new and beautiful products. In the Italian language Seconda Vita means Second Life. This process is called “upcycling”, which is the next stage of recycling.

With “upcycling” used objects receive a destination other than the original one giving them a much higher value than at the beginning. The material mainly used in the atelier is wood. Wood is a living material that despite its dullness can be worked very well.
In our atelier, furniture, accessories and decorations are created using materials that are found here and there. Materials such as wood pallets, wood from scaffolding, wood scraps, pieces of dried grapevine, cutlery, ladles, glass bottles, belts, jeans, bicycles, chandeliers, doors, corks, and many other materials no longer used.

We have many items ready for sale in our atelier, but it is also possible to order custom-made furniture and accessories with customized materials.
